Mark Colangelo

Mark is a Wayne State University and Center for Humanistic Studies alumni with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Psychology. Mark has also attained a Master’s degree in Clinical and Humanistic Psychology. He began his career working for the Lambton-Kent District School Board as a Psychology Counsellor (assessing students with disabilities and counselling students) and working in private practice mainly as a play therapist working with children and families. He then transitioned to St. Clair College of Applied Arts as a counsellor supporting students with disabilities in their academic endeavours while continuing as a psychometrist in private practice. Mark transferred to the Developmental Services Worker program and is currently still there as a professor.

Jaime Martin 

Jaime has over 20 years of experience working with exceptional individuals.  Respite work ignited a passion that carried her through to her work with the Canadian National Institute for the Blind.  After nine years with CNIB, in DeafBlind services, Jaime started working with the Catholic School Board. She has had the privilege of working as a Sign Language Interpreter, an Educational Assistant and currently works as a Deafblind Intervenor.  Helping every client reach their full potential by providing assistance, support and opportunity.

Louie Saroli

Louie has a major degree in Human Kinetics and a minor degree in Business from the University of Windsor. Louie currently works with Amico Affiliates Construction in the Health and Safety Department. He has volunteer experience coaching with the Windsor Soccer Club. Louie will be an asset on the board as Treasurer due to his past work experience in bookkeeping and business income taxes.

Fiona Lowrie 

Fiona is currently a student at Humber College in Cosmetic Marketing. She has a true passion to help make a difference in the lives of youth and adults who are exceptional because she has two siblings - one who has Autism and is blind and one who is visually impaired and has learning disabilities.

Jody Lowrie, RECE  

Jody has a diploma in Early Childhood Education and Certification as a Montessori Teacher - Early Childhood. She has over 25 years experience in the field of persons with exceptionalities. Jody is the Executive Program Director/Owner of   Roots 2 Wings Inc. A Daytime Program for youth and young adults living with exceptionalities. Jody has volunteered on a few board of directors for the past 20 years, including holding the position of Secretary for VIEWS and Up About Down -  Windsor Essex Parent Association. She was an Accessibility Award Recipient in 2019. Jody's drive to improve the quality of life and to have a sense of belonging for people with exceptionalities will be a strength as President for our Board.

Kellie Vuksani, BSW and B.Ed

 Kellie graduated with a Bachelor of Education degree, and has an Honours degree in Social Work obtained from the University of Windsor. Kellie has specialized skills in program modification and creation for students with exceptionalities. She has a great love for the individual students and the beauty that is present in diversified educational strategies. Kellie began a dance studio called Soul to Sole Dance Studio. This studio brought children and young adults together with varying needs and skill sets, fostering an environment of acceptance and appreciation for the beauty of each student.

Michelle Hunter 

Michelle has her Bachelors in Kinesiology with a Masters in Sports Management from the University of Alabama. She is currently completing her Bachelors of Nursing at Michigan State University. Michelle has experience in Physiotherapy and coaching. She is driven and will work with others to help make a difference in the community.

Gabrielle Saroli, MPEd

Gabrielle has a double major in Psychology and Disability Studies from the University of Windsor. She completed her Masters of Education: Teaching Students with Exceptionalities from Western University. Gabrielle is the Executive Program Coordinator at Roots 2 Wings and has been there since 2017. She volunteers with CIBC Run for the Cure, and is currently on the Autism & Behavioural PAC. She is passionate about making a difference in the lives for those who have exceptionalities.
